Firefighter
Captain, He Bought Eggs: Stories from a Firefighter,
by retired Chief Fire Marshal Carmine Speranza and photographer/writer Beth Reynolds
The original 3 Station in Stamford, Connecticut is gone, torn down in the 1980s. But it lives in the memories and stories of Carmine Speranza, who walked by this station on his way to school as a young boy and then spent several years of his 24-years as a Stamford Firefighter at 3 Station. A lot changed in those twenty-four years for firefighter in Stamford and everywhere else. But one thing that never changed is Carmine's love for his profession, and that is evident on every page of this book.
