Burn Survivors
On Friday January 11, 2001 eleven extraordinary teenagers arrived in Crested Butte, Colorado for the 2nd Annual Roger Pepper Snow Camp. Five days later they had conquered more than a mountain.
After being severely burned in a car accident, artist Alison Massari created a snow camp for teenage burn survivors from Florida. Named for the man who pulled Alison from her flame-engulfed car, the camp helps burn victims build self esteem and gives them a chance to let go and be free again.
